General Information and Instructions for laying

1. VERIFY THE MATERIAL:
Verify that the material matches your order (control reference code, color, quantity and length of bolt) with the use of cutting of three bolts constituting an acceptance of the order as correct.

2. CONDITIONS OF THE INDOOR ENVIRONMENTS:
Work with the material be carried out in a dry place at about 13°C (55°F), avoid drafts, cold and humidity.

3. THE WALLS:
The walls should be clean, smooth, dry and slightly absorbent, a fixative should be used if the walls are too absorbent.

4. PASTE/GLUE:
Our products are made of non-woven fabrics and before pasting the paper to the wall you should choose a wall and mark a vertical line with a plumb line or laser bubble that the first bolt should follow.
Apply the paste with roller on the wall to an area equal to about one and half bolt (use a glue powder for non-woven fabrics, type «OVALIT M» by Henkel, which must be prepared a few hours before, or a paste specifically for non-woven materials type «GTV» by Glutolin).

5. FIRST TWO BOLTS:
Lay the first bolt starting from the top down, make sure that you follow the marked vertical line and spread the glue for the second bolt (to an area equal to about one and half bolt). Apply the second bolt by matching it perfectly (“joint against joint”) to the initial bolt. Remove excess glue with a damp cloth.

6. APPLICATION AND FOLLOWING BOLTS:
Eensure that the first two bolts are applied in perfect continuity, then continue applying the following bolts in the same way (for correct application, always check the amount of glue, especially on joints).

7. DRYING:
It can be change from 12 to 24/36 hours, it depends of position area and season.

NOTE:
Our coatings are made in our Italian atelier with artistic procedures and artisanal techniques, slight differences in color and compositional structure of decorum, are not defect but express the uniqueness of each individual handmade bolt.

MISSING MATERIAL:
If the quantity ordered is insufficient, you can order a ”completion“.
For the above notes, the “color bath” may differ slightly from the supply.
Therefore, it is recommended that you always have some extra roll out in the initial order.

CERTIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS OF COATINGS:
Our coatings are fire resistant and certified for public works, “contracts” and naval vessels. Certificates for Europe whit “EN15102 / BS1 D0 ” and for the USA with “ASTM E-84”.
Except for specific notes, our covers can all be gently washed with soap and damp cloth. Resistant to sunlight, for normal exposures in protected indoor environments.

WARNINGS FOR DECORATION CHOICE:
All of our wallcoverings are presented in collections related to genuine photo interiors, most of our coatings and their decorations create a “continuous wall effect” where the joint is imperceptible, in a few cases a “panel effect” (such as the straw coatings that mark the succession of the bolts applied on the wall).
It is therefore recommended to choose the decor in report to your aesthetic sensibility and your personal taste, by carefully looking at the images associated with each one of them.
